Unlike traditional incubators that cost up to $20k, the Embrace infant warmer costs ~$200 for the warmer's actual components—the AccuTemp heater, WarmPak warming pad, and BabyWrap insulated wrap. The cost of bringing the warmer to the infants who need it are much higher. This includes: screening, shipping, training, data collection, and ongoing support/maintenance.
The primary goal of Embrace is to help save the lives of low birth weight and premature infants by distributing an inexpensive and effective infant warmer in conjunction with education programs that address the root causes of neonatal hypothermia.
One aspect of being pro-life is to bring infants to their birth, yes. But, let's not forget that includes their birth day as well as the days following their births, too!
