One such Roman Catholic wrote his U.S. Senator, Dick Durbin (D-IL), following the release of the videos illuminating what exactly Planned Parenthood has been up to as part of its mission to provide women "healthcare."
Senator Durbin was kind enough to respond to his constituent's thoughts:
In short: These voters are sick and tired of the ruling class representing themselves and their interests when they're supposedly sent to DC to represent the people's interests.
If that's the nerve Donald Trump is exposing, there's a lot of discontent out there across the fruited plain. And it's quite likely that it's not just Roman Catholics and conservatives and Republicans who have had it with the DC "ruling class"--the 25% or even 30% of voters that the mainstream media says is Donald Trump's "ceiling."
[UPDATE: The Motley Monk has just read that these voters are called "disaffecteds." They skew male, span ideological self-identification, are independent, less-schooled, and probably less likely to vote in a Republican primary. Trump supporters are attracted primarily by Trump’s focus upon immigration (the popularity of his current position very much dependent on how the issue is framed).]
Let the discussion begin...
