Apparently NOT.
A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association has once again affirmed prior findings that those who take those supplement pills experienced the same cognitive decline over a five-year period as those who took placebo pills.
If dementia or Alzheimer's is in the family’s gene pool, eating a balance diet—emphasizing things like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, kale, legumes, fish, and low-fat dairy—along with olive oil and red wine(!)—contributes to good brain health.
There’s not much that Europe has to teach the United States these days. However, dietary habits of the Greeks, Italians, Spaniards, and French indicate that they have a lot to teach Americans in this regard.
